I would have seen this show had I gone to Carleton
instead of Boston College (shows you what little I
knew in high school), but I have an ok quality board,
so, whatever. Although the soundcheck to this show
is hysterical at times, thanks to Fish
("Hiwe'rephish!!"), the show -- in general --
suffered from several sloppy mistakes. Although the
Tweezer didn't witness any, unfortunately, it just
didn't sound good. After it, Fish said "That was
called a Good Excuse to Jam" or something to this
effect. Unfortunately, jam they did, but I
personally didn't like the jamming. There was some
funny speech and exaggerated screeching lyrics,
talking (not singing) by Trey in the opening lyrics
segment, but this frankly wasn't outrageously special
(3/13/91 is similar in this sense). The jam was
together, not loose and coily and spacey, but it just
didn't sound too great imo (Page was clashing a lot
with Trey and Mike). This is extreme personal
opinion here.. one of you must disagree. I can't
help but give this version a 4.0 (with 5.0 being an
average Tweezer). I can't even recommend this set,
even though I like the Magilla (and they did Dinner).
Get set two, though.. it is most pleasing (Destiny
Unbound, which they should bring back.. dammit). (C-)
