The Drexel University Daily Digest reports:
The Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design will host a lecture with the Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux and Phish archivist Kevin Shapiro tonight, February 24, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Nesbitt Hall, Stein Auditorium (33rd and Market Streets).
Lemieux and Shapiro will participate in an open discussion moderated by Toby Seay, music industry professor in Westphal College. These two highly regarded professionals will discuss how they’ve managed the massive recordings and holdings of their archives, how their bands make decisions about preservation and releases and the impact technology is having on their work.
The event is free and open to the public.
